Print codes
Offline clicks still deserve a source
Build a tagged URL in this house, then turn it into a QR code. Packaging, posters, booths, and “scan for the deck” slides can stop arriving as Direct / none — marketing’s most mysterious agency.
After the URL appears, tap Show QR. The code is drawn locally as SVG so you can screenshot or print it. Test the scan on a phone that is not on the office Wi-Fi of destiny.
QR codes are campaign URLs wearing a disguise
A UTM QR code generator is not a different science. It is the house builder plus something a camera can eat. The failure mode is always the same: a beautiful code that opens a naked homepage, and a report that swears the booth did nothing.
Encode the full tagged URL. A practical print pattern is utm_source=print (or the event name), utm_medium=qr, utm_campaign for the initiative, and utm_content for the physical piece — poster-a, booth-insert, packaging-lid. One campaign per event or print run. If you reprint the poster next year, change content or the campaign date so last year’s scans do not haunt this year’s dashboard.
Test like a stranger
After the URL appears, tap Show QR. The code is drawn in the browser as SVG so you can screenshot or print it. Scan it on a phone that is not on the office Wi-Fi. Confirm the destination, the query string, and that any redirect keeps the parameters. Shorten only after you tag. A shortener that drops query strings is a magician you did not book.

FAQ
UTM builder questions
Can a QR code include UTM parameters?
Yes. A QR code is just a URL in a square. Encode a fully tagged campaign URL and scans report like any other click — as long as the destination is reachable on a phone.
What UTM values should I use for print QR codes?
A practical pattern is utm_source=print (or the event name), utm_medium=qr, utm_campaign=the-initiative, and utm_content=the-physical-piece such as poster-a or booth-insert.
