When to clean instead of rebuild
Partners, agencies, and last year’s spreadsheet often send URLs that already work in a browser but fail as reporting keys. A UTM cleaner is faster than retyping the whole link in the campaign URL builder when the destination and intent are fine and only the spelling is wrong.

What does a UTM cleaner do?
It reads an existing campaign URL, lowercases UTM values, replaces spaces with hyphens or underscores, and rebuilds the link so GA4 does not split Facebook and facebook into two rows.
Will the cleaner change my landing page?
No. It keeps the destination and only rewrites UTM parameter values.
